HOW TO CARVE A NET NEEDLE AND WEAVE A SURVIVAL GILL NET

For years I was baffled by the idea of weaving my own survival gill net from scratch. It was a learning project I kept putting off, even though I knew it was an important skill to know. Most of the tutorials I found online were confusing at best. I wanted something simple and easy to execute. I couldn’t find it. Once I mastered this skill for myself, I decided to create an easy-to-follow, step-by-step tutorial for subscribers to APOCABOX as the box Skills Challenge.

  • Cotton string (like the kind a butcher would use)

  • Paint stick from local hardware store

  • Knife

  • 30 minutes
